Growing up in the 80’s politics always revolved around Republicans versus Democrats. There was push and shove to get their way. One side would have to give a little and compromise with the other side to get things passed. Ronald Reagan even quipped at one point that if he could get then Speaker of the House, Tip O’Neill, out in a bar they could usually get things accomplished. Those days are GONE!!!
As thing have played out since the Trump Era began, in essence, in 2015 the work Congress doesn’t do has been getting lots of air time. All the time off. Slush funds for indiscretions. Insider trading. I personally did a post on the fact most bills that go thru Congress are already sitting on a desk somewhere waiting for the right moment, like the Patriot Act.
President Trump’s first term was mired in all the investigations, Alfa Bank, Russian Collusion, Mueller Investigation. All turned out to be hoaxes to defame President Trump and to try to get him to resign. The Speaker of the House in 2017, Paul Ryan, on TV would back President Trump to work his agenda. Come to find out Paul was working with Democrats behind the scenes to block making America great again almost at every turn.
Well in 2020 Congress got it’s wish. President Trump out of office via the stolen election. The gloves were off at that point. J6 happened. We had the second impeachment attempt all because of the Fedsurrection ran by Nancy Pelosi. Republicans came out against President Trump calling for his resignation and even jail time. The Biden regime even came at President Trump with 88 indictments to stop him from gaining the Presidency again.
Low and behold President Trump became the nominee again for the 2024 election. Days and weeks leading up to the election some of our well know Republicans came out against President Trump being President again. Thune, Cornyn, Roy, Massie. Guess what happened when President Trump got back in? No shocker all of them in their own way have been going out of their way to stop his Make America Great Again agenda.
Here is my take. Congress has forgotten who they work for, We the People. Lobbyists get time because they have the money. What does money get you, access. We the people get access every 2 or 4 years when they need the votes to stay in office to continue the grift. They lie, cheat and steal. They could care less about the needs of the public at large unless it does something for them. With President Trump’s election in 2024, the rules have changed. Conservatives are awake and we are not taking their indifference lightly. Now our power is in the elections and the MAGA folks are certainly making any Republican squirm by not supporting and passing the agenda. Scott Presler has done an amazing job of getting people registered to vote. His attention now has been the Save America Act. So called Leader Thune is severely dragging his feet on the Save America Act. His, “we don’t have the votes” is basically falling on deaf ears with us. We don’t care how it is done 85% of America wants voter ID. Any day he posts on X, the replies are nothing but a blood bath against him. Mr. Presler has a big hand in getting RINO’s Cornyn and Cassidy primaried and out of office. It seems there are more Republicans still not getting the message yet!! They either pass the damn Save America Act or they will be going home at our next convenience. Some of them think just by being quiet they will be immune to the purge, that will also get you primaried. Some of them are still arrogant enough to think they can just wait out President Trump’s term and things will go back to normal. Normal is out the window and isn’t coming back. The can of whoop ass has been opened and we are going to take a long time to finish. We are the Boss and you either fight with us, Republicans or you will go home.
