Democrats and Republicans are killing the United States

Here we are six days from the election and the big story, no shocker to me, is corona virus. Infections are up. Here in Ohio, cases are up 40%. So politically speaking we only have two voices, Democrats and Republicans.

So when I drive to work, I have the normal, quickest way. I also have about a half dozen other ways to get to my job site. So I have options. With everything going on in the country at this point, we only have two options, Democrats or Republicans. We have their so called experts calling for a shutdown or not to shut down. Each of them being paid for or influenced by said political party. I have my view as I am sure there are hundreds of other views out there. So why are we limited to just these two views?

Let’s start with the Federal Election Commission.

The Presidential nominee of each major party may become eligible for a public grant of $20 million (plus a cost-of-living adjustment (COLA)) for the general election campaign. In 1992, each major party nominee received $55.24 million. To be eligible, candidates must agree to limit their spending to the amount of the grant and must pledge not to accept private contributions for the campaign. Private contributions may, however, be accepted for a special account maintained exclusively to pay for legal and accounting expenses related to complying with campaign finance law. These legal and accounting expenses are not subject to the expenditure limit. In addition, candidates may spend up to $50,000 of their own money on the campaign. Such spending does not count against the expenditure limit.

Minor party candidates and new party candidates may qualify for partial general election funding, based on their party’s electoral performance. Minor party candidates (nominees of parties whose Presidential candidates received between 5 and 25 percent of the vote in the preceding election) may receive public funds based on the ratio of their party’s vote in the preceding Presidential election to the average of the two major party candidates in that election. New party candidates (nominees of parties that are neither major parties nor minor parties) may receive public funds after the election if they receive 5 percent or more of the vote. The amount is based on the ratio of the new party candidate’s vote to the average vote of the two major party candidates in that election.

So I copied the previous two paragraphs from the Federal Election Commission web site. If you read the two paragraphs and I suggest you read them again. Two things that stand out to me are: any contribution I may make to a campaign go to a special account for accounting and legal expenses. Damn expensive lawyers and accountants!! Second, minor party affiliations may get funding based on their electoral performance. Now it gives 5% to 25% guidelines to reach but the devil could be in the details. Electoral performance being the key word. If a Democrat Presidential candidate wins California he wins the 55 electoral votes, period! So does that mean a third party candidate has to win states to qualify?

Here is my take. We nee a serious infusion of new thinking. I’m not going Green New Deal shit, just away from our two choices! They serve themselves at our expense but claim to have our best intentions at heart. They continue to spend money they don’t have and care about the country. Over fifty percent of them are millionaires and made their money while in Congress so where is the connection to Americans. In my opinion, it’s gone!!

Lies, lies and a mountain of lies!

Here we are neck deep in election season and the amount of lies piling up could probably reach the top of Mount Everest! I can’t remember an election season with so many blatant lies. Usually these attacks revolve around voting record and lies ending with the record of the day said particular vote was done. Due to the fact Donald Trump is President half of the country has lost their ever loving minds.

Let’s start in the 2008 election. President Obama called John McCain a racist with no concrete evidence to back it up. Fast forward four years, President Obama was at it again, calling Mitt Romney a bigot. Romney is from Utah and a Mormon. In both cases neither of the Republican candidates defended themselves or went after President Obama. They just sat back and let the President and the media run all over them. It’s been almost four years of the media and Democrats spewing lies after lies after lies about President Trump. The difference is President Trump learned from the previous mistakes and has been on the offence ever since he announced he was running for President.

Let’s mention some of the lies about President Trump. He is a racist. There is a mountain of evidence against this falsehood. The Charlottesville hoax of him supporting white supremacists, the video was edited to show that view. The military being called idiots and losers. Well his staff all came forward and denied this claim from an anonymous source. We can’t forget the whole impeachment scam based on a phone call, remember Adam Schiff knew what President Trump was actually saying. The actual only true lie CNN has on President Trump is he said he was a guest on Oprah’s show during the last week, he wasn’t.

Let’s talk about Joe Biden’s lies. During the last debate he said nobody lost their healthcare coverage when Obamacare was signed into law. Actually 2.5 million to 5 million Americans lost their coverage. He also has said in campaign stops he would not ban fracking, at the debate Joe said he would work away from oil and fracking. He has said in the last week that the boilermakers union is supporting him, the union head came out and said they did not support Joe Biden.

In the last week a political action committee, Future Forward has been airing commercials in support of Joe Biden, in it four doctors talk about how President Trump failed America in regards to the coronavirus. He didn’t listen to experts and didn’t have a plan. Apparently Joe Biden has a plan! Well if you go to JoeBiden.com obviously you get to a donation page first. After multiple attempts to just go to the website I get there, I look for the Joe Biden plan. I don’t know if you could call it a plan, I would call it regurgitated information or political rhetoric. Social distance, mask, blah, blah, blah! One of the doctors in the commercial, Dr. Thomas Fishbein says we need new leadership. Well this particular doctor has nothing to do with infectious diseases, don’t we have Dr. Fauci? Dr. Fishbein is a transplant and abdominal specialist. A quick google search and from Vox I find. A little-known Democratic super PAC backed by some of Silicon Valley’s biggest donors is quietly unleashing a torrent of television spending in the final weeks of the presidential campaign in a last-minute attempt to oust President Donald Trump! One of the donors is the co-founder of Facebook, go figure!

Here is my take. We should change the name of politician to professional liar, let’s call them what they are, bullshit artists or any other name of the sort. I voted for Donald Trump because he is not a politician, that is why they hate him. We need to continue to vote for non politicians, hopefully they continue to come forward. When Donald Trump said we need to drain the swamp, most of us put the onus on him. We have found out he needs help, it is going to be a citizenry thing not just the President. Lies are a means to an end for a politician. We need to make it so the lies are not worth the purported end result, power or money. The first step to end the mountain of lies is to do your own research and vote those liars out of office.

President Trump tests positive for Coronavirus que the rage!

October 2nd President Trump announced he tested positive for the Coronavirus after one of his staff members tested positive. A lot of Americans posted, get well soon , we are with you and the like. Other responses were ugly and horrifying to invoke on anyone let alone a sitting President.

Chris Wallace of Fox News, wear the damn mask! Trump should concede the election, the NY Times. It gets worse the further down the news media chain to the basic citizens calling for his death. “You are responsible for 208,000 deaths, you get what you deserve!” “You should drink Clorox like you told us to!” “No one deserves to die more than you!” “You put America at risk with your ignorance, you should die!”

When I clicked on President Trump’s message on twitter at that point it had 2.3 million views about half were positive and the other half negative. It totally made me sick to see people calling for his death! This man, man, is a husband, a father and a grandfather, working thru life as we all do. How angry would many of these people be if they posted their parent or loved one had fallen ill and others were calling for their death?

Here is my take. It is absolutely abhorrent to call for someone’s death because you don’t agree with their political view! It goes to the seventh layer of hell when these same people are spitting venom that is not their own! The venom of the media talking points! Please do your own research, don’t be part of the sheeple crowd! Let me specifically get to those who are blaming the President for the 208,000 deaths in this country. You would have a platform to stand on if and only if there was a country in the world that this pandemic has not affected! Please if you can point that country out, do it. To all of the mask police out there have you listened to the talking points of wearing a mask? Have you read the packaging on a mask wrapper? A mask may SLOW the spread not stop it! A person called in to a local radio show talking about how he tested positive for the coronavirus. He was shocked that his family is now affected even though they wore masks and socially distanced. “I did everything I was supposed to do.” Are people thinking this coronavirus is something new, no! It is now the seventh named coronavirus SARS-CoV-2. This name was chosen because the virus is genetically related to the coronavirus responsible for the SARS outbreak of 2003. Are Americans literally waiting for a vaccine for this, it seems state level governments base their executive orders on this thinking. The swine flu took a year and a half to come up with something viable. Guess what the swine flu is still out there, they did not eradicate it, just contained it. So SARS-CoV2 is not going away, it is here, what do you do now?

We should not be surprised President Trump tested positive. Did we stop AIDS from crossing the globe? Did we do such a great job of stopping the swine flu that 60,800,000 Americans were infected with it? The Spanish flu of 1918 infected 500 million world wide and killed 675,000 Americans. It is idiotic to think half of this country wants to blame this virus on one man and wish for his death. It was a losing battle, regardless of what President Trump did or did not do.
